This project is a typographic study of the typeface, Trade Gothic - designed in 1948 by Jason Burke. The specimen guide features images and quotes from Chinonye Chukwu’s 2022 film, Till.

With sensitive, human imagery from the film, I showcased letterforms from Trade Gothic to highlight its strengths as a workhorse font. It may sound industrial, what with its name, but it is a typeface with organic sensibilities and a clean, understated quality.
