I believe Google has always had a sense of play integrated within its brand and stands for the curiosity and inspiration that comes from knowledge. For this logo reveal, I was inspired by the “Feeling Lucky?” button and the four colors of Google. This piece is all about finding what you’re looking for, whatever or wherever that may be.

I leaned into a minimalist and clean look for an approachable animation style. The lively characters are the important focus since the animation is about the inquisitive energy of the Google brand.

For my motion design, I also wanted to play off of the movement of the characters - rolling balls, swimming fish, hopping birds, spinning flowers, and orbiting planets. The camera and secondary animations all support our ability to find and connect with the given character.
